Description   Part Number: SG10050-(XXXX) Base Item Price: $ 31.76   Aluminum oxide grinding segments in vitrified bond. Use Brown/White mix or Grey/Pink mix for general purpose use on all types of steels. Use White grit for heat sensitive hardened steels and tool steels (Rockwell 'C' 50+). Pink and Lavender grits can also be used on hardened steels but are slightly more aggressive than White grit. Ceramic (SG) is used where premium life is desired (Not recommended on heat sensitive materials such as hardened tool steels). We also have a few segments designed especially for stainless steels. The grit sizes and hardnesses we stock cover 95% of most requirements. Generally speaking, use a softer hardness & coarser grit for lower horsepower machines (Contact us for specific recommendations). Choose a coarser and harder segment for more aggressive stock removal.
